RYND PRESSURE & TOURNIQUET BANDAGE
The Rynd Bandage Company Tourniquet Bandage is a waterproof latex pressure bandage and tourniquet that can save the life of a person or a horse. If an accident occurs and you have profuse bleeding this bandage can act as a tourniquet and a wound protector. Included are complete instructions how to use the bandage. The bandage is waterproof. If a person or a horse receives a cut on one of the extremities whereby the bleeding cannot be easily reduced the Rynd Pressure Tourniquet Bandage can control it. With our bandage the person or horse can ambulate without bleeding out while protecting the wound site. This bandage is one of a kind and is not produced anywhere else. The bandage also comes as a part of our all inclusive Trauma First Aid Kit.
Using the Rynd Pressure and Tourniquet Bandage
The Rynd first aid kit provides antiseptics that should be first applied to the wound (included). Then place gauze covering over the wound area (included in kit) if not using as a tourniquet. The Rynd pressure bandage should cover the wound area and be tied tight enough so that it would not slip but not so tight as to restrict blood flow. If you are using the bandage as a tourniquet follow enclosed instructions. The Rynd pressure bandage is a temporary emergency bandage and should not be left on for extended periods of time. The wound should be cleansed and the antiseptic reapplied. The Rynd pressure bandage is made out of latex and it is waterproof.
The Rynd bandage will keep the wound clean and protected against further abrasion and if held tight enough will keep both sides of the wound closer together until stitches could be administered. The Rynd pressure bandage is clean but it is not sterile. It is not to be used directly against the wound unless in emergency situations where sterile gauze pads are not available.
Complete instructions as to how to use the Rynd Tourniquet Bandage are included in the kit as well as a first aid booklet explaining how to care for many different first aid needs.
